This was my first read in the Rock Star Romance series. I didn’t
find any issue following the storyline. The book works as a stand
alone. More Than A Feeling is the poignant story of two people who've gone their separate ways but have a new chance at love. It’s a twist
on a second chance (really first chance) romance of two people who had the hots
for each other in high school but never made it happen. Now years later our
hero, Cooper Hood, has survived a hellacious childhood as the son of an addict mother and
an absent father through determination. He made it to become a famous alt rock
star who must return to his hometown for mysterious info about his father from
his dodgy mother and to organize building his mother a new home. Our heroine also
comes from a rough childhood but not from an abusive standpoint, more from an
absentee father. She’s the epitome of cute or maybe adorable is a better
word. Yet, she’s a strong Montana woman.
The book has a slow start, but it gives us time to get to know the
characters. The author really sparkles with world building and description of emotion as we get to know these characters. We enjoy the dance of two
people who want each other but think they shouldn’t (more from him than her).
If you’re looking for a sweet romantic drama with a satisfying HEA, then this is
your read.
