REVIEW: Blood Cure by K.A. Linde
Featuring the conclusion to the Blood Type series today.
What BLOOD CURE is about: The world in chaos and turmoil with one final battle left to determine who will survive—humans or vampires.
She had the world on her shoulders. Now she has nothing.
Reyna Carpenter was twenty-one when she became a live-in blood escort for the ruthless and darkly handsome vampire Beckham Anderson. She thought this was just a small price to pay for feeding her brothers back home.
But nothing went as planned. Not even her tumultuous relationship with Beckham. And now she wonders if anything will ever be the same again.
As she finds herself in the midst of a losing rebellion, she and her trusted friends must flee from a city conquered by the vampire elite. With their plans blown to pieces and everything they knew and loved gone, their future hangs in the balance.
Despite all she has lost, Reyna must rise from the ashes, reclaim the life that was stolen—and complete her mission, once and for all.

MY THOUGHTS:
Blood Cure is the last in the Blood Type Series. It allows the reader to get lost in a fascinating dystopian paranormal universe. Admittedly, I have not read any of the previous and must start by recommending you not(seriously don’t) make my mistake and start with this book. This story dives right into the middle of the action and kills our hero in the first scene. Like *poof* he’s gone. As a reader I was saying, what? But I was given this as an ARC and, therefore, stuck it out.
There are quite a few fun twists in the story of Beckham and Reyna. In this book we read Reyna lose her soulmate and pick herself up. However, I’m not entirely sold on this character. That being said, the bond between her and Beckham is well portrayed and enjoyable (and spoiler: he returns...yes, great relief her soulmate wasn’t gone forever).
Writing style and world building: excellent!
Overall: Good read. Probably not a re-read for me. I think readers would enjoy it most if the first two in the series are read first.
