MY THOUGHTS:
4.5 Stars.
Love love love every story created by this author and this was no exception. Here we get the fae king, Caden, torn between duty and desire and Brighton, a human who's in the middle of a fae war chasing vengeance for her mother's death.
Now, to be honest I had not read previous in this series and this one seems as if it's in the middle. So, the first few chapters were rocky with regard to world introduction. This is a complex space the author designed. Took me a while to catch on but once there wasn't so much dumping of details to get the reader caught up, the story zoomed by.
The characters have wonderful heat and some super smexy moments. This is not a story for the faint of heart since there's torture in all its gory detail and a heroine who has to be her own kickass. She's a feisty girl and who doesn't love that?
Warning- ends on a cliff hanger with no plot resolution. And now I've got to read the next.
