Laurie Cass writes a cozy mysteries series about a librarian, a bookmobile and a cat that I recently discovered and enjoy. The first book is Tailing a Tabby.
Recently tried some YA and enjoyed Ann Aguirre's Queen of Bright and Shiny Things. In urban fantasy/romance I recommend Seanan McGuire's Toby Daye series (start from the beginning!).
