REVIEW of Wicked Ride by Zanetti
ANOTHER WONDERFUL READ BY REBECCA ZANETTI!
Alexandra Monzelle is a hard-fighting, heat-packing Seattle vice
cop, and she’s not much interested in being protected. Her short skirt and
sex-kitten heels are tools to lure her suspects into talking about the deadly
new drug hitting the streets. She can take care of herself and then some.
Unfortunately, she can’t seem to get that through to Kellach Dunne.
Kellach
is a fresh import from Dublin, and he’s landed at the heart of a vicious
motorcycle club that deals in guns, narcotics, and mayhem. He’s all male, all
rough power—and all interference in her damn investigation. Maybe he’s one of
the good guys. Maybe not. Lex knows an affair with an immortal like him would
risk everything. No matter how delicious he looks…

MY THOUGHTS:
Yet another wonderful ride by Rebecca Zanetti. It’s a
spin-off series (Realm Enforcers) and I was nervous about this, but I should
not have been. And, wow, what a ride
this story gives the reader. Paranormal readers looking for a story with a
smoking hot hero who’s possessive, alpha and heroic, AND demons, vampires and
shifters, AND a tough-as-nails heroine, then look no further.
This the story of Alexandra Monzelle, a by-the-rules Seattle police officer, and
Kellach Gideon Dunne, Irish biker part of a club that seems to be about the
anarchy and mayhem but he’s a realm enforcer. I’m not going to hash out the
detail of this job. But when Kellach slams into the middle of Lex’s
investigation while purusing a dangerous drug (Apollo), sparks fly. At times
Lex’s cop attitude might’ve gone a little far but given her history we
understand. There’s definite misunderstandings between the two characters,
given that he cannot tell her what he is, but they learn to trust each other
and make their relationship work.
I
most enjoyed the burgeoning relationship amidst an action-packed story. Their
sizzling chemistry and his antiquated ways. With a paranormal twist, as we
expected. Overall, great read!
