MY THOUGHTS:

This modern day story tale spinoff (Sleeping Beauty) weaves whimsy and fun.  We’ve got a bakery, witches and magic. Samson (Sam) Phillips, fantasy fiction writer, needs Rose McBriar to wake up (magically awaken) and accept her heritage. Rose is more interested in Sam helping her figure out the plot line for her video game. Ultimately, it is Rose’s choice to find her magic mojo.

I did find the secondary characters sometimes overshadowed the main characters. There’s a cast of characters all screaming for their own stories in this novella. However, overall this is a short, sweet story. Cute read.
